Opinion about the sport and recommendations

 In my opinión, swimming is the best sport you can practise, because is the most complete, where you train all the muscles of body, it is also very helpful for the mind stregth. We have already explained many advantages of swimming and those are only ten reasons why you should practise this sport.  You have the choise but I assure you that if you train this sport with all your heart you will fall in love with it. I am a "profesional swimmer" an it's not an easy sport but the feeling you have when you compete is incredible, it has no comparison, all the adreline you feel and the desire to win the race are a mix that make it so special. It is also a very sacrificed sport but it's very worth it.  My principal recommendation is to try and practise like an amateur first this incredible and lovely sport and also to be patient because you won't improve from one day to another.  I hope you like it and good bye.

Swimming Equipment:  If we talk about the equipment, there are differences between the equipment of an amateur swimmer and the one of a professional swimmer.  The swimsuits of an amateur swimmer can cost arround 10-20 euros and the googles costs from 4-15 euros, in contrast with the equipment of a profesional swimmer. This equipment is too expensive compared to any other sport I know, the swimsuits of a swimmer that compete, are divided on one hand by the training suits that costs like the amateur ones depending on the brand the buy the suit because Speedo or Arena are the most expensive brands and the ones that have better materials and on the other hand the competition suits that can cost from 150-300 euros the masculine suits but the femenine suits costs from 200- 475 euros.                                         Michael Fred Phelps  is an American retired competitive swimmer and the most successful and  most decorated Olympian of all time,  with a total of 28 medals. Phelps also holds the all-time records for  Olympic gold medals,   Olympic gold medals in individual events , and  Olympic medals in individual events.  When he won eight gold medals at the  2008 Beijing Games , Phelps broke fellow American swimmer  Mark Spitz 's 1972 record of seven  first-place finishes at any single Olympic Games . At the  2004 Summer Olympics  in Athens, Phelps had already tied the record of eight medals of any color at a single Games by winning six gold and two bronze medals. At the  2012 Summer Olympics  in London, Phelps won four gold and two silver medals, and at the  2016 Summer Olympics  in Rio de Janeiro, he won five gold medals and one silver. This made him the  most successful  athlete of the Games for the fourth Olympics in a row.

 It is possible to practice swimming in any season of the year since in Canary Islands there will always be a pleasant temperature to swim, but equally you must have precaution since in the winter evenings the temperature usually lowers very much, and also you must pay attention to it is very windy.

 Swimming is a sport that can be practised on a swimmingpool or also at the sea, depending wich are your preferencies. If you swim as an amateur, you can choose wherever you want depending what do you like the most but if you compite or swim in a more profesional way, you have to choose the place where you compite.  The advantage of the Canary Islands as we have said before, is that we are surounded by water, so we have coasts everywhere. The Canary has also many swimmingpools, this provides the posibility to the archipielago of a big diversity of places where we can practice this incredible sport.

 Swimming is one of the most recommended sport in the Canary Islands, not only for its healthfuls funtions but also because as we are surounded by water, it is very helpful.        Advantages of swimming:  Your quality of life improves. Swimming allows you to delay the aging stage; your motor capacity increases, as does your memory, as it requires greater concentration and coordination.  It makes you more alert, more balanced and has a more efficient and faster complex reaction time; wounds take less time to heal.  You burn more calories. In water your muscles work five to six times more than on land.  Swimming increases your muscle mass and tones it; it lengthens your muscles and improves your silhouette.
